Centrum Precast’s STEQ Team Expands
Centrum Precast is delighted to welcome Simon Jackson into the business to work alongside the existing STEQ team (Safety, Training, Environment and Quality). Simon will ensure Aarsleff maintains the level of competent advice and professional support needed as the business continues to grow.
Simon comes to Centrum Precast with a wealth of experience. Having left school and college with basic level qualifications, Simon began his working life with the BBC in Manchester. In between film and television work (including working with Danny Boyle on two productions), Simon began work with a Rope Access Geotechnical Company based in the Derbyshire Peak district. Simon was tasked with achieving accreditations in ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 and Link Up (The old Network Rail accreditation now RISQS). From working closely with White Young Green Environmental, Simon was able to compile a comprehensive Integrated Management System for the company and has never looked back since.
In 2011, Simon joined Dywidag Systems in Warwickshire to work with ground engineering companies to evolve solutions in ground stabilisation including Soil Nails, and Rock Anchoring. Simon left with a tremendous amount of knowledge of knowledge in geotechnical techniques.
In 2014, Ivor King hired Simon as their HSQE Manager, gaining accreditations for an Integrated Management System to include ISO. 9001, 14001, and 18001 and for the RISQS and UVDB protocol certified by Achilles.
Simon sought out the best in the industry and now joins Centrum Precast with a real appetite to work as a member of the STEQ team, managed by Robert Speakman, to help consolidate the IMS with the Rail Accreditation RISQs and to build on the great safety culture that already exists in the company.
