Centrum Pile achieves 5 stars in RISQS audit

Centrum Pile, the leading precast piling and ground beams manufacturer, has recently completed its annual Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS) audit, achieving the maximum level of 5 stars.

RISQS is a pre-qualification suppliers service which supports the procurement of products and services for organisations within the GB rail industry and allows suppliers to be formally recognised as capable providers of products and services. The audit reviews overall management systems and rail specific requirements within an organisation. Every organisation that goes through an audit gets scored on their performance, with 5 stars being the highest score.

Centrum Pile’s STEQ (Safety, Training, Environment, Quality) manager, Robert Speakman, worked with the external RISQS auditors, providing evidence on how Centrum Pile manages procedures and incidents as well as looking at how these have been implemented into the business. Robert said, “Completing our RISQS certification will allow Centrum Pile to deliver our precast products to rail organisations such as Network Rail and Transport for London. Obtaining the RISQS certification demonstrates Centrum’s continued commitment in providing quality precast solutions to the GB rail industry.”

Along with the RISQS scheme, Centrum Pile is also a member of the Confidential Incident Reporting and Analysis Service (CIRAS) and follows the UK Network Rail Standards, guaranteeing that Centrum Pile is ready to provide piling within the GB rail industry.
