Centrum Pile successfully migrated to new Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems standard

Centrum Pile Ltd has successfully migrated from the OHSAS 18001 to the new BS ISO 45001 standard, becoming an early adopter of the updated standard which was published in September 2018.

This new international recognised standard is the first ISO standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems builds on the concepts of the previous OHSAS 18001:2007. The award certification measures the robustness of the occupational health and safety management system within a company, including aspects such as preventing work-related injury and the proactive improvements of its OH&S Performance.

For Centrum Pile to update to the new standard, the company took part in a four-day extensive audit to recertify its existing (18001, 14001 & 9001) management systems before successfully completing the one-day migration audit to the new BS ISO 45001:2018.

Speaking about the Centrum Pile’s award of this certification, Robert Speakman, the Company’s Safety, Training, Environment & Quality Manager said:

“It is testament to our continued commitment and improvement of our occupational health and safety systems to be recertified and updated to the new ISO 45001 standard. Centrum Pile puts the safety of its employees and visitors of its manufacturing facility as their highest priority, with it being encompassed within our core values.”

The certification compliments Centrum Pile’s existing BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems certification and BS EN ISO 12794:2015 Factory Production Quality Control.
