Solutions For Your Applications
Centrum Pile has pioneered the technical advancement of precast concrete piles since entering the UK market as Aarsleff Pilings pile manufacturing subsidiary. Fully symmetrical pile sections, chamfered corners, domed heads, fully welded reinforcement cages and self compacting concrete are all standard elements of Centrum’s product manufactured in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Yet what is the point of producing high quality piles if we fail to use high quality pile joints to ensure connection of the pile segments in the ground? Therefore, Centrum incorporates only the very highest standard of pile joints.
In accordance with the draft Euro Code—Foundation Piles, each pile requires the manufacturer to declare and retain a declaration of conformity which subsequently entitles the manufacturer to CE mark it’s piles. Confirming it’s pile’s engineering competence for Compression, Tension and Bending and that this competence is guaranteed through testing and third party factory production accreditation. Every essential element is covered including the joint classification, A, B, C or D.
- 800,000 linear meters (annual).

The pile types shown in the above diagram indicate the number of Ø 12mm bars, which are embedded in our standard piles.
The reinforcement types 4, 6, 8, 12 and 16 are mechanically produced on our new welding robot.
The reinforcement area can be increased as requested.
The Multi Lock (ABB) Joint
- Both halves of the joint are identical.
- The locking blocks are directly connected to pile reinforcement in the pile.
- Driving of four locking pins on site pretensions the faces of the two pile sections together.
The Single Pin Joint
- Both halves of the joint are identical.
- The locking rings are directly connected to reinforcement embedded into the pile.
- The driving of the Locking pin on site deforms the locking rings pretensioning and locking the pile sections together.
Both types of pile joint provide a fully mechanical joint connection, which pretensions the faces of the pile elements together providing a pile joint as strong as the pile itself.
